Description
Loki is the ultimate shapeshifter, unpredictable and impossible to pin down, and Mookaite Jasper is one of the few stones that genuinely keeps up with that. No two pieces look alike. The colours shift from deep burgundy to mustard yellow to creamy pink within the same stone, which feels exactly right for a god who was never quite one thing.
Stone: Mookaite Jasper
Wire: Silver-plated copper
About Mookaite Jasper
- Mookaite forms from the fossilised remains of microscopic sea creatures called Radiolaria, which settled into silica-rich mud millions of years ago, and that process is what creates its distinctive blocky patterning and its range of colours.
- It is found only in Western Australia, near Mooka Creek, and its palette reflects the landscape it comes from: ochre desert floors, burgundy rock, and the pinks of a late afternoon sky.
- In crystal lore it is associated with adaptability and a willingness to try new things, which makes it a fitting companion to a god whose entire mythology is built around change and reinvention.
