Description
I named this piece The Loom of Urðr because crazy lace agate looks woven. The swirling bands of cream, rust, and gold move across the stone like threads being pulled tight on a loom. Urðr is the Norn who weaves fate itself at the base of Yggdrasil. The Botswana agate sits alongside it with its own quiet layers, and those softer grey bands felt like the older threads, the ones already woven and settled into place.
I handmade this wire-wrapped gemstone pendant from my home in New Zealand. It is a unique piece of crystal jewellery, and the natural variation in both stones is part of what makes it unique.
