I named this piece Hel’s Divide because zebra jasper is literally split between black and white, light and dark, and that contrast felt like a natural match for Hel, the Norse goddess who rules a realm divided between the living and the dead. The sharp, clean stripes of this stone reminded me of a boundary you cannot cross back over. Also, oxidised copper adds a dark, aged look that sits well with Hel’s cold and shadowed world.

This is a handmade wire-wrapped gemstone pendant made in New Zealand. Because I craft each piece individually, it is one of a kind, so the pattern and striping of your stone will be unique to this piece.
