I named this piece Niflheim after the primordial Norse realm of ice, cold fog, and deep darkness. Consequently, the cloudy, shifting depths of purple and grey in this amethyst feel as though they carry that same ancient, still cold.
In addition, the dark oxidised copper wire wrapping beautifully enhances the moody aesthetic. This means the finished pendant perfectly captures a sense of mystery, depth, and the unseen world.

I handcraft each wire-wrapped gemstone pendant from my home right here in New Zealand.
